MY STORY, MY COMMITMENT

I come from a family where most members are overweight, some even morbidly obese.
As a child, I struggled with my own weight and started seeing dietitians as early as the age of 9.

Several people in my family live with diabetes — type 1, type 2, and gestational.
My father, who has type 2 diabetes, has finally been stable for the past 5 years.

With them, I witnessed:

  • the medical wandering,

  • the endless intensification of treatments,

  • the lack of listening, explanations, and understanding from healthcare providers,

  • the diets and programs like WW, Dukan, Apple cider vinegar, and many others — none of which had a lasting impact on their weight or their blood sugar.

Why HAVE I MADE DIABETES MY PRIORITY ?

Because medicine has changed.
Because it no longer truly studies its patients.

STOP!

You deserve a different kind of help.
Your diabetes can be managed much better than this.

And it’s accessible to everyone.
My patients have already figured it out and you can too.

MY OBSERVATION OVER THE PAST 20 YEARS

Diabetes management remains unsatisfactory.

Diabetes is often seen as a scourge, a fatality.
Yet it is neither a viral nor bacterial epidemic.

Thirty years ago, 16% of the population was overweight, including 6% with morbid obesity.

Today, 47.3% of the population is overweight, with more than 17% suffering from morbid obesity.

The incidence of type 1 diabetes has quadrupled among children.
It is estimated that 10% of diabetics have type 1 diabetes.

THIS RAISES SERIOUS QUESTIONS ABOUT :

The quality of prevention programs in schools and in healthcare settings.

Dietary recommendations from birth through adulthood.

The management of type 2 diabetes and making it reversible.

The care of type 1 diabetes and therapeutic education.

The lack of attention to

patients’ quality of life.

The psychological support provided which is NONEXISTENT.

TRUE DIABETES STABILITY

A PATIENT WHO LIVES AGAIN

It makes no sense at all :

  • to compare different types of diabetes and imagine helping patients by giving them the same advic

  • to provide dietary advice intended for healthy individuals to diabetic patients is a sign of not truly understanding the disease.
